The objectives of IASES will prominently be research in the fields of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Cosmology, Space and Earth Sciences. Public Outreach Programmes and Academic Courses will be one of the main activities of the Institute. In the beginning there will be five research scientists including the Director who will be responsible for carrying out the research & public outreach and other academic activities. Associates will be co-opted for various other allied activities.
